What I think is fair or unfair in relation to 2011 is neither here nor there.

But why would you not want to answer a simple question on it.

All I am asking is what, if anything, you think is unfair. If you think something is unfair, such as the 2011 arrangements, then what do you think we can do to support those 2011 changes being reversed?

What I'm talking about is the WASPI campaign.

What I'm asking is your opinion totally irrespective of WASPI.

That's your point but it's not WASPI's point and not their aim.

Yep - so disregarding WASPI's aim, if the changes in the 2011 policy are unfair, what can we do to support a reversal or alteration to the policy to make it more fair?

I haven't found anyone here who disagrees on the 2011 changes being amended but that should include all women AND men.

Well assuming the 10 year rule was upheld, then that would apply to anyone that had less than 10 years notice, man or woman.

Not by supporting the WASPI petition.

As I said, its all too easy to say what some won't do and focus on the negative. So, disregarding the WASPI petition, what can people do to support what the perceive to be unfair? It seems most people are agreeing that certain groups of women born around 1953 and 1954 are impacted most with others impacted less so on a sliding scale. How and what can we do to help those groups most impacted?

I can't support the WASPE campaign but I could support a separate campaign along the lines of that above.

Seems like a perfectly sensible suggestion.

I have already made my position clear that, I am sympathetic to the group of people whose pension age has risen faster than other women of only a slightly different age.

If there was a petition solely about the 2011 changes I would be able to sign it.

But I can't sign the petition in its current format as there other WASPI issues that I'm not in agreement with.

For whatever reason, your instincts tell you not to believe me, so I'm not really sure why you wish to grill me, as you won't believe what I say anyway!

someone born on 1/1/60 has to retire at 66.

I'm sure many born around that time will retire much earlier.
Not to mention the people born on or after 6th April 1960, when the pension age begins to rise to 67.

This includes myself and spouse, so we've been planning for it.

Well, you could start a petition.

You could contact your MP and express your views. He/she was elected to represent the views of his/her constituency.

I've put a link to where you can find your MP details on my signature below to make it even easier for anyone who should want to express their views!

That's all cool. You can focus on things you 'can' do rather than things you can't.

I can't imagine you will be even remotely concerned about what I believe or don't! Thus, not an issue!

Apologies, I should have said state pension age, rather than retire.

Indeed, I was born around that time, and have already retired, after planning for it.

    !

I don't think WASPI will care - over 88,000 people are in agreement and have signed.

    Not strictly true.

I signed - after considering whether to sign it or not because I thought the reference to 1995 changes muddied the waters - but that was before I learned that what WASPI were saying on FB.
