List of folders keeps moving when I try to file Outlook emails in folders

For the past couple of weeks, whenever I try to file outlook emails into folders which are listed in the left hand column of the screen, the list of folders won't keep still but keeps moving quickly up and down.
Consequently although I've highlighted the email I want to file in a specific folder, the folder list keeps whizzing up and down on a continually moving basis. Help please! What do I need to do (idiots guide please) to correct this fault? Have I somehow pressed a wrong key in error to make this happen?

Could it be something to do with "sticky keys"?0 -
Does your mouse pointer look different?
If you middle click in Outlook the folder list will scroll to follow the mouse pointer.0 -
Forgive my ignorance but what and where is is "middle click" on a mouse I've only heard of right click or left click.0

It's rather a long thread so have not read through the whole thing. Hopefully you will find some useful suggestions though.0 -
I,ve experienced the problem of the Inbox, Sent, drafts etc moving positions which is annoying but my main issue when trying to file an email in its appropriate folder is that the list of folders isn't stationery.
It keeps moving up and down so that dragging and dropping the email is like trying to place an object into a box on a moving conveyer belt. It's driving me crazy0
