Welcome Catwoman. You are number 13. If you have any questions then please do ask and we will try and help you.
How long are you off to Las Vegas for? I spent two nights there several years ago when I toured the West side. I stayed in the Stratosphere hotel and managed to make a dollar last me an hour on the slot machines! I then went on the roulette table and over half an hour only lost $6.00, I worked out a way to cover 80% of the table. For some strange reason they wouldn't let me back on the table in the evening!
I would recommend you visit the MGM casino and the lions. You can walk under the lion enclosure! Outside the Bellagio they have the fountains that are set to music. It is also in the famous shot - ocean's eleven

Have only just read the above message, so sorry Gem Gem! Busy being a festive bee!

We're going for 6 nights. This will be my 2nd trip - it's ALMOST our 1yr wedding anniversary after we eloped there in April this year!
To be honest we're not really into gambling (this may sound strange to some, why go to Las Vegas?!) although have the odd go on a roulette table; but there is a rockabilly convention that weekend with the hot rods, bands, clothes etc. We love this lifestyle and aspire to own our own hot rod one day when we've become more savvy with our pennies! Me joining in the moneysaving forums for 2016 is the first step!
Everyone is a work in progress. :j

    Hi Catwoman,
I'm no gambler either ( only spent $7 all day) but I can see how it can become addictive. Whilst on the roulette table I felt a buzz.
    What is a hot rod?

  • Hi Gem-gem

A hot rod is any classic old American car with a relatively large engine - think of Cadillacs, Model T Ford's etc and scenes of drag racing out of films like Grease. ;-)
They're not very moneysaving friendly but seeing as we don't have a car at all at the moment (and don't really need one as we can both walk to work from where we are and are close to a good bus route) this is a bucket list dream to own one one day!
