Between my hubby and I, we collect 1p and 2p's in one jar. 5p's in another jar. He also collects 50p's and I collect £2 coins. We also have another jar with our roadkill in. We did discuss yesterday about whether to collect 20p's but have decided against it as we would then only have 10ps and £1 coins in our pockets.

Wow, I didn't realise that Scotland had different versions of £2 coins.
    A good find Scottishmummy.

It was just that specific one I think because it commemorated an agreement between Scotland and England which had different titles in each country.

3 more for me today taking me to £8.

We collect coppers in a jar. 5ps in a wine bottle. Apparently they hold about £50. £2 in a sealed tin. £1 a day X 2 in a sealed tin and for the first time we have another sealed tin that my DH is putting 20s and 50s in. He gets a lot of those so keeps back enough for a float then will put the rest in the tins. I also have an openable tin that I have started putting the new plastic £5 notes in but I suspect it will end up being raided from time to time.

When did the new plastic £5 notes start general circulation? Have you had one yet?
