    Erm, security guards have no rights other than you and me.

    Where did i say they did?
    let alone seizing people's property

    Where have they been seizing property?

    Think you will find that they have a duty to ensure peoples safety, therefore getting them out ASAP was their priority which involved stopping people taking pictures with their phones

    Yes, everyone, Aberdonians speak like that, provided you can understand their accent... :rotfl:By the way, I'm originally from Aberdeen.

    I'm not surprised a wall fell down - quite a few of the buildings there have shoddy workmanship. There's even an abandoned quarry to the western side of the city, now with a lake at the bottom of it. And flimsy fencing around the edge, 'lest anyone falls into it.

    What a shame those Russian bombers didn't have a "bomb bay malfunction" when they were over the place.

    Isnt it the security guards job to stop people taking items, I didnt think students had the bottle to swipe from a security guard, but what did you expect the guard to protect first, the pictures or the phones?? :D:D

  • I must admit I find the logic of some people, when in a life threatening situation, the first thing they do is whip out their mobile phone to take videos/photos.

    I think mine would be to get the hell out of there and thank my lucky stars I wasn't hurt.

    Interestingly Business Student's initials describe their writing most of the time - you know, male cows and what they produce....

    All I can say is that if this had have been Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer, Asda, Morrisons etc BS would have not said anything, apart from a "poor store manager how would they have coped? It must have been some invisible force pushing the wall over..."

    BUT as it's Tesco we're talking about, the wall was of course only constructed so that it would fall down again, and timed to fall when the customers were standing underneath.

    I have to agree with this sentiment .. what flamin !!!!!! idiot stands about somewhere after part of a structure has collapsed .. there is a risk that another part has been made unstable.

    I was working in a large supermarket once when it caught fire ... my job was to basically get people out the fire exits .. bodily if necessary and make sure the one I was at was kept clear. The number of people that got outside the door and just stopped to light up cigarettes or have a conversation was incredible .. did they not have the sense to realise that by doing so they were actually blocking the exit.

    Worse were the number that were trying to throw anything into their baskets and trolleys (litterally scooping things off th shelves). This was a nightmare because when they appoached the fire exit their over loaded trolleys could not get out ... I had to take a lot of abuse for taking trolleys off people and shoving them back into the store to try to keep the exit clear. The other problem was that because of their 'scooping' the floor was covered in cans that people were slipping on.

    You really have to wonder what the quality of the sperm was like when you realise that these people are the result of them beating millions of other sperm
