Anyone Love Molten Brown? But Not The Prices??

Hi everyone,

Hope this is the right place.

I adore Molten Brown's hand wash/cream in 'Naran Ji' (sp?) but it smells absolutely gorgeous and looks so lovely in its clear bottle.

BUT

it costs a fortune.

When I was in Au Naturale the other day I spotted a twin set of hand wash and lotion which was only £6, in a lovely chrome holder. It looked identical to the Molten Brown bottles and was a yellowy colour liquid (similar too). So I bought it.

It smells EXACTLY the same I couldnt beleive it! The hand lotion is lovely not too greasy etc. It would make a great gift and the refill bottles are only about £2 each.

I think Superdrug may stock it also. Its by a company called 'Baylis and Harding' and is a 500ml and is called 'sweet mandarin and grapefruit'.

Hope this is of use to someone :)

This product has been available for a few years now. Whilst it does smell the same initially, it does not hold the scent like Molton Brown products do.

I don't find it too bad for scent, however the choice between spending £6 and washing my hands a bit more often or spending £28 and having scent for longer I know what would choose :)

They do this in Lloyds chemist, it is £1.99 each and is often on BOGOF too.

Given the choice of having Molton Brown in my bathroom or something that everyone knows costs pennies, I know which I would choose! :p

In that case, why not decant into a Molton Brown bottle.
Personally, I am not interested in what other people think of my purchases.

I love Molton Brown stuff, but it is just so expensive - so I was delighted to find a similar product in Tesco!

At £1.99 for a 500ml bottle with three different varieties, this handwash is very similary to Molton Brown, for a fraction of the price!

If you are shopping online do a search for 'mosaic' as this seems to be the brand it is named - instore , in my Tesco Extra it is right on the top shelve of the handwash range -I was amazed at how similar the mandarin and grapefruit handwash is to the MB product, and for £1.99 it' worth a try - I've stopped removing the handwash from my bathroom when guests visit.

Hope this helps some of you guys

Home Bargains also sell Malt & Whyte (!!) identical bottle and similar names to Moltons and exactly the same perfumes and colour for £1.99 500 mls , it smells like the real stuff to me.
