Bank security?

Earlier on I was in the process of paying for something online when the website asked for details I wasn't happy to give. I looked for reviews of the site and loads of people were saying it was dodgy. I had already given my name, address, sort code and account number (not the long number on my card). I cancelled the payment and have taken screenshots of the cancellation, but I'm still worried - can they do anything with the information I provided?

what did they ask for that you weren't happy to give if you had already told them your name/address sort code etc0

My online banking log in name and password0

what site was this?0

I would alert your bank to this so that they can send you a new card. This would change your card number and prevent them from taking any money from your account in the future.0

cdkeys - their skrill payment system0

Skrill (formerly Moneybookers) is similar to PayPal and is legitimate. There should be option to use debit/credit card rather than transferring funds from your bank account.
Though I'd probably register directly first from https://www.skrill.com/en/0 -
but asked for bank account log in details?0

Okay, thank you. I was just concerned by all the bad reviews on trustpilot. Is it normal for a site like that to ask for your online banking log on details? I've never seen that done before0

I personally would not pay this way but have used it to pay via card. Some of those trust pilot views look like those who have been scammed by merchants/sellers (just like PP) and not getting a refund.
They are however legit as long as you pay to trusted merchants as quite some huge companies use them.0
