Thanks for your reply. The money has not been returned it is still in the Help to Buy ISA. It still shows as 4%. I have set up the standing order for the 4 January , will see what happens.0

If it's of any reassurance, I followed what I understood to be their way of making the initial and subsequent deposits and my online banking still showed the Total ISA Investments for the year to be at £0.00.
I made an initial ISA transfer of £1000 from a previous year's ISA which arrived in my account on 04/12, and then I made a standing order payment of £200 on 07/12. It still showed at £0.00 after this date so I wouldn't worry too much, although I have recently upgraded the Online Banking to the new format and I can't find a section which shows the year's investments!0 -
Hmm this is interesting. I paid in £1000 to begin with as an initial deposit and then a further £200 by faster payment over a week ago. They don't seem to have noticed yet. If they send it back they send back...“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Mine still says £0 in investments as well.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Can I ask another question.
I am transferring from my current cash isa to the help to buy USA, both with Halifax.
This year to date, I have just had £1 in my isa so that is all that is being transferred in. I have been led to believe that I can then top up my initial deposit within 21 days (so I plan to add the full £999). Has anyone any experience of this transfer and then adding to it?
Thanks0 -

£1,000 as initial deposit, followed by £200 for the first month is absolutely fine.Hmm this is interesting. I paid in £1000 to begin with as an initial deposit and then a further £200 by faster payment over a week ago. They don't seem to have noticed yet. If they send it back they send back...
I'd contact them asap and ask where my money is. They should be crediting FP and SO deposits within 24 hours.Mine still says £0 in investments as well.0 -
Ah thanks.
Balance says £1200, it's the bit that says 'total ISA investments this tax year'.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
That's not how ISA transfers work. You don't make the transfer. You ask your new ISA provider you make the transfer, by filling in the new provider's transfer request form.
Sorry, I wasn't clear, I didn't do the transfer myself, I requested the transfer and it was showing in my account on the 04/12.0 -
I opened my Halifax Help to Buy ISA, with bank transfers from my Halifax current account in the following amounts - £1, £299 and then £900 which were all accepted. Now when I look on see latest statement - it says Total ISA investments £0,00. Has anybody else had this?
It took about a day for the mobile banking app to update when I opened mine, provided you entered the right bank account number and sort code when you transferred the money, you shouldn't worry#141 - Save £3k in 2016 challenge - #141
