Sky at a second 'holiday' property

Options
I have a Sky package in our primary UK property that I am very satisfied with. We own a second UK property that has a Sky dish and box (with card), but we do not subscribe at this second address. Without purchasing a second 'stand alone' Sky package, what is the best way to become a Sky viewer at this second property?
Thanks for any advice
Paul

You can use free Sky Go to access the package you already have.

If you don't want to use it at the same time in both properties and are moving between them the low tech method would be to unplug the box and take it with you.
  • Thanks for the replies
I've tried moving the box from one place to another and it works, albeit, it's a bit of a 'low tech' pain.
    Regards to free Sky Go
what's is this and does it need broadband to work?

    Thanks

It's really designed for "on the move" watching so you would need a smartphone, tablet or PC plus an internet connection.

Depending on what you use it is possible to get it from the mobile device to your TV.

You can get all the non subscription channels at the second address already via Freesat from Sky (albeit without the PVR functions of Sky+)-do you require specific subscription channels?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Don't require any specific subscription channels, but do like the Sky + functionality

Then either get it free with Freesat from Sky and live without the Sky+ functions, or swap out the Sky box for a Freesat Humax PVR, which will do the same thing with almost the same channel line up. A straight box swap and no ongoing cost.
It's insane to pay Sky every month if you don't watch subscription TV.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
