THE MOUSE AND THE WEASEL
A little hungry Mouse found his way one day into a basket of corn. He had to squeeze himself a good deal to get through the narrow opening between the strips of the basket. But the corn was tempting and the mouse was determined to get in. When at last he had succeeded, he gorged himself to bursting. Indeed he became about three times as big around the middle as he was when he went in.
At last he felt satisfied and dragged himself to the opening to get out again. But the best he could do was to get his head out. So there he sat groaning and moaning, both from the discomfort inside him and his anxiety to escape from the basket.
Just then a Weasel came by. He understood the situation quickly.
"My friend," he said, "I know what you've been doing. You've been stuffing. That's what you get. You will have to stay there till you feel just like you did when you went in. Good night, and good enough for you."
And that was all the sympathy the poor Mouse got.

My immune system has went on holiday so it has affected me pretty badly. I have cold sores
(my trusty cancer nurse tells me these are very common in times of low immunity....along with shingles ) I'm not dying or anything but it does feel like it :rotfl::rotfl:
I tried to steam clean those suede shoes from the weekend and they are one step away from the bin. They made me hobble anyway
As for how badly my friend Zippy has been treated today. All I can say is
Nerfy.....winding zippy up in the way you did was nasty. More and more you seem to get pleasure out of causing trouble on here, who knows why? I don't recall anyone ever being nasty to you.....quite the opposite in fact. You've received a lot of support from people here. Moral and otherwise.
It seems to me that since some clever ladies and gents here have managed to work out how glitches at Asda work, there's been a steady stream of nasty/gloating/troublemaking posts.
I don't read alot anymore but it's sad to read that the same old rubbish is going on no matter who is around.
Life really is too short and is it worth it over a few cheap groceries?
OH works in the shoe industry and I just asked him and he recommends a Crepe Brush, something like this

Hope you get over your cold soon xI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

The birds I can identify are
Sparrow
Blackbird
Thrush
Robin
Magpie
Seagull
I think I can recognise a swallow when it's flying.
My bird knowledge is shockingly poor. I think I was off school with measles the week we did birds:rotfl:

Huh. I've just looked for, and seen, the Daily Telegraph front page (be warned there's maybe a similar one on the Guardian as well). The actual photo is of a partially balaclaved man holding what looks like a pistol towards the camera. Nothing worse than what might appear on some music album covers, however in the context and the meaning that people will give to that photo, it's a lot worse!
I think the real point is about the people who may have been murdered and the despicability and unacceptability of that. I note the Guardian is using the word "murder" in quotation marks on its front page.0 -

I have no clue what I'm saying asking or doing, going with the flow but have wrote a list of things my ds1 struggles with. So hoping this helps. Just hoping I get the help n diagnosis he needs before he moves to big school in September.fairclaire wrote: »Evening
That's good news D. Make the most of Camhs I've had some great help from them in the past. You sometimes have to re-iterate what it is exactly that you need but don't be afraid to ask. In my case......this is a few years back....one of the psychologists used to take DS2 off and work on ways he could communicate how he was feeling to us and his teachers and another psychologist talked to me about what I needed. it was all new to me at the time.
I found them very accommodating and if you tell them what you need it helps them to understand and provide a better service for others too. Glad you are getting some help. Also don't be afraid to name drop Chams if you are looking for help with the LEA, they are well thought of.
Help at school is a fight but if you know what to ask for you can usually get it

Shingles.....oh my goodness ...on top of everything else...they are incredibly painful I've heard......oh dear.....I couldn't interest you in one of those little Thorntons shortbread things you like could I. I think I have an in date pack in the cupboard:rotfl:
I had a moment where small heels sounded like a possibility. All I did was moan that my stockings were making my feet slide out of my shoes.
Flats all the way for me from now on. That was a day.....I went to marks to buy a pair of stockings (with kids) and came out £84.50 lighter  oh and I put my ring through the stockings and had to wear a previously worn pair anyway
I'll only have the thorntons if they have the festive decor on them :rotfl:0 -
I actually probably wouldn't even notice that image if I walked through a shop. If anything, it's the BBC's not showing it that has drawn attention to it. So, but for that, I probably wouldn't have noticed it - but now I will do.
Instead, otherwise, it's actually rationally less severe things that I would immediately notice far more.0 -
:eek:And they are now showing, full face across the entirety of the screen, virtually the same image as they will not show on the Papers! Without any warning at all before it just came on! That is actually more shocking - and nearly got me!
It was just the weapon that wasn't there - but the balaclaved image still was and still shocking, especially as it was much bigger and more impactive than a small part on a newspaper that did not cover the full screen.
It's inconsistent though not to show the Telegraph image and then to show that. Maybe it's because I've seen the Telegraph image, with the weapon, that the BBC photo on the full screen, of the same man, is now more shocking (still image without weapon) (at least on that one occasion when it just came straight on, as opposed to the close ups of the still image, in and out, that we are now getting).0
