I managed to get some straw for the chooks from the shop that was closed yesterday so I didn't have to go trawling round bristol trying to find some. Put it in the run and the girls were so happy :D

I use Fennington Fibres miscanthus bedding in the run for my chooks, from Pinkers, Lattridge. it's £6.50 a bale and I use 1/2 a bale at a time in the run. They do tend to scatter it around a bit though, I throw in some scratch and a few mealworms ( are they really that spoilt?!) and it gives them something to do when it's too wet to trash the garden:rotfl:
They are moulting at the moment, it was a bit of a shock, looked like they were oven ready for a while.

And another thing, this recent (?) trend in online games for kids is another license to print the money. Roblox and Minecraft may have a free version but it seems once they have your kids locked in they continue then to lift all their pocket money with various add ons, ranks, clothes and other items. Each on their own may cost little - 99c here, $5 there - but if you ever stopped to think how much they have spent in total .

I have to justify it that it is their pocket money that Little Anons are spending, but given a choice I would get them to buy Lego or something physical that you can hold! It only takes a change in rules and all access to all their worlds and what they have bought could end :(. Or they will go off it and then the money is wasted.

Morning mad squad, I know it sometimes annoys some people when some people ask questions when the answers are easily found by having a quick read back so can I suggest instead of saying things like I've read back but can't find it (especially when it's a big post with pictures only a few pages back) or how much is it working out at (when the answer is on the same or previous page) that we all take just a few minutes to take a look.

    Thanks

    Mr grumpy

    :D

Sorry if i annoyed you by asking ,yes i did read back but in a hurry i must of missed the very page they showed on.

I never usually ask always read back , and enjoy the chit chat.

    Good Morning House Elf :)

Are you having trouble with work ?

Hope DD trip to Thailand is a good one.

Intrigued about dodgy teapot I have visions of water all over when trying to pour tea out ;)

I have got to know mums ways . She would be completely different if you say visited with me or if one of neighbours visits while I am there.

Hot Choc walk sounds lovely RIP doggy :A

    Afternoon tweets,

DD1 GF bought us this for Xmas. Stylish, but not easy to use. The lid is difficult to get on and off and the water pours out the top AKA Ben Elton Ministry of Carp Design! It is also very unstable to lift when full. Dangerous. SA would not exchange as we had used it! This resulted in circular argument about how to test it without using it! Eventually, after 2 or 3 people tried to put the lid on without success, they agreed to exchange :rotfl: but, as the teapot was now in the sale at 30% off I had to pay £5.50 towards the exchange

Anyway, in other news......new job description in January. Be careful what you wish for :o. DD sounds like she is having a good time after a worrying start. She keeps us updated by WhatsApp, which is why I was woken up at 4am :( Our friends lost their lovely doggy a few weeks ago. We used to dog sit when they were away, so feel we have lost a good friend too :(

Your Mum sounds very similar to mine. Despite all my training and the skills I use every day at work, i could not help behaving like a sulky teenager every time we visited. I found her infuriating  Now I just feel guilty I did not put more effort into our relationship :( So well done you. :A

    Happy New Year!

Ask all you like. I had to keep asking for weeks before I completely understood what was going on. Some people don't have time to read back and if in the shop at the time may need a quick response.

Morning all, happy new year's eve. We will be going out as a family, with several other families. Going to a friend's for 'pre's' and then on to somewhere nice that is not hiking prices for NYE, but we will have to pay double fare for a taxi home (if it turns up :) )

I read this article yesterday (via a link on Twitter) - Venturing out on New Year's Eve is wanton foolishness....

Let's not turn this into a tit for tat thing, it was just a reminder to everyone, we all ask questions from time to time when the answers can sometimes be easily found, we all are capable of missing things in a hurry, having said that the post you missed was a big one with lots of pictures it was then quoted by someone so you missed it twice, it was posted today and it was pretty hard to miss, i didn't name you or quote you and I don't think your comment about new people posting is fair, I think I had a fair point, everyone expects new people to ask questions and if a new person was asking how much is this or saying I've read back, I might answer them or I might suggest they read back. I'm sorry if my post may have put you or any new people off posting, i hope not, c'mon new people please post :D
I do try to keep up but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm just a penny short of a pound. Peace and Love.
