GDS had some Lego for Xmas and it seems really inferior quality.
I have 2 very large Tupperware containers full of lego, some was my DH + his siblings when they were little and some mine and some my childrens- so probably at least 40 / 50 years old and the little red and white bricks to make houses with are still perfect:)0 -

It seems to depend on the parts - we noticed some of the Minifigure legs seemed to feel cheap/not as solid plastic and some of the pieces had mould injection dots, which I cannot recall seeing previously.
It definitely has not got any cheaper so no need to cut corners!

There was a VG store just up the road from where I live now, it's a Co-op now. It had small separate off licence that was only open late.
My Nan used to get through a bottle of VG sherry couple of times a week. Remember my mum picking one up for her and refusing to buy two and my cousin used to go up for the second.:o
We used to live across the road from the VG store when I was a kid. Indeed my Mum uaed to work there. And I had completely forgotten what it was called until I read your post TS! We also used to have a Fine Fare which I think was taken over by Somerfield.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -
