Really sorry, but though I use SkyScanner to search for flights, I always book via the airline itself. I am sure someone else will come along who can help. Or can you email them?

yes that is what I did last time booked via the actual airline over the phone but this time he has had to do it himself

it seems a strange system, he has a booking reference number but the email still seems to ask for payment

So the good news is that DS1 has been promoted in his job. Relief all round, especially as his current post was a one year fixed contract, and the new post is permanent.

The not so good news is that someone went into the back of OH's car, stationary at the lights, so clearly not his fault, just a pain to deal with.

I found the website for tripsta and a number to ring

    Mon-Fri: 08:00-18:00, Standard Rates: +44 (20) 3695 4992

but I cant get the number to connect on my phone

there is a contact box but of course it would have to be sons email and not mine

Please can I ask has anyone any experience of skyscanner

"Tickets are booked but on the confirmation email its saying
You must purchase your ticket until 11:00 21.DecemberMANCHESTER local time. The reservation will be automatically cancelled if you do not purchase your ticket within the time limit."

but when log on it says

    Office/Travel agency booking/reservation made through : INTERNET
    •Status
    HK - Confirmed

so it looks like its been confirmed by the agent but the airline don't have the money yet - is that correct? I've checked his online banking and no payment showing yet and he did say his card was playing up.

so now I don't know if he has paid or not

    no e tickets yet either

we went direct through the airline last time and everything went through straight away

Do you get annoyed when you fill in a form and have to enter your phone number even when you know that the company doesn’t really need it?

What are they going to do with it? Who will they give it to?
Your privacy is valuable – protect your phone number with trueCall38!
The solution: enter our phone number 0333 88 88 88 88 (that’s three threes, eight eights) as your phone number, and if, or rather when, they call, those cold call culprits will hear our short but sweet recorded message:-

"trueCall38 is handling my calls. I prefer not to be contacted
by phone, so please contact me via my email address.
    Goodbye!"

    Genius!

Note: Some online forms are very fussy and won't accept the full trueCall38 number. If the number is rejected then enter 0333 8888 888 (three threes, seven eights).

Good idea, I usually change the last number of my real number, but I guess this stops sending annoying calls to the innocent!
