hope you got her a vacuum cleaner as her main present :D

    Too expensive....

She's been dropping me subtle hints this week as to what she wants for Christmas, saying things like " I want something that feels really silky and smooth", "Hope you get it in my size" and "I want to be able to wear it every day".
I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees the washing-up gloves I bought her.

Tesco 3ltr slow cooker £10.00 use club card boost and get it for a fiver

Obviously your clubcard points are another currency, with a value, so you're not getting it for a fiver.

Bubbs, please resign from the Board lol
  • For example, £5 in Tesco clubcard points = 1200 Avios = £12

But I often get more value from my Avios, so 1200 Avios can easily be worth c.£18.

Or just use them on genuine 3x possibilities such as Eurotunnel 3x = £15
  • Does anyone know the online chat for amazon. Can't blinking find it.

I ordered and new extension lead with the lead coming out of the left. Its arrived and it comes out of the right. I know it seems silly but where the fish tank is it will look weird and stick out

If that's the same link as I saw earlier, probably because it's rubbish:rotfl::rotfl:(:eek:how can I say that?) - all found displaying 39p in the Aldi I went to tonight and, as far as I know, all would be scanning at that price. At least the Potatoes I bought(:rotfl::rotfl:) and the Sprouts I bought are scanning at 39p not 29p - I would have bought a further bag of carrots, this time at 29p, however due to SELs showing 39p I didn't bother with them tonight - I suspect they are 39p (and the Broccoli) too.

Still not bad at 39p. Sprouts may go even cheaper still if they have short dates immediately before Christmas - or maybe a day after (the shops shut for a day means they have a lot more stuff to get rid of at whoopsie prices). The Sprouts did go lower than their offer price, precisely on shortdated ones, last year - not sure how much lower than current 39p they could really go though:rotfl::T.

I have a confession to make.

I got the vacuum out at the weekend, but I did not know how to switch it on, I just could not figure it out, OH had to show me.

The last time I saw it was December 2014 and at this time I was shocked to find that the vacuum had changed......... OH told me he had bought it a year before!

Even worse...............I am not sure if we own an iron!

Glad you had a mostly positive experience, it is a VERY trouty store. Was the supervisor called Benjamin? He's lovely.

Definitely a very trouty store!! (I love that expression.) I don't know what he was called but I wouldn't have called him lovely exactly except that I am still giggling over the expression on his face when the till started showing a minus amount!

(sorry for delay in replying. Am on holiday abroad now so not keeping up with the thread.)
