I've just sat this afternoon and written all my cards I noticed this too half way through writing mine the Ts packs have Chistmas 2013 written on the back. I must have no shame I carried on writing them. :o

The Boots ones I bought before that don't have any date. :T I also have last years WHS I got free on O2 no date :T hope this years don't either not looked yet. But have just opened the ones bought 10p in Ts earlier this year have 2014.

I think its just Tesco that date them, I've noticed this before. A bit cheeky I think.

Been out for lunch with a friend, lovely to get out the house. Am supposed to be having My Hermes pick up a parcel today, they haven't been yet so am a bit worried they're not coming (DS was in and listening out for them whilst I was out for lunch). :o

TM i collected my tree. It's much nicer than the photos, it's covered with silver hologram type glitter that adds extra sparkle.

I've taken some pics but they don't do it justice and photo bucket doesn't seem to be loading at the moment.

    Evening all :santa2:

    Edit... At last

I never seem to be able to keep up with the thread & what I'm about to say might be really old news but in case others aren't aware:
I offered my dd some Xmas cards bought in sale a couple of years ago. She declined as the date was printed on the back. I had no idea some stores did this. Presumably it's to make people like her buy current cards at top prices. I must admit I've told dh the rest of my 2012/13 cards are going to the charity shop!

I never knew that either, to be honest I don't care lol.
You can't beat a 10p box of chrimbo cards :D

I can't say I've ever really noticed whether or not there is a date on the back of the cards. It is not something I would look at when I receive a card either ... So I'm going to hang onto mine and continue giving them out :money:

Glad I'm not only one without shame. :rotfl:

Although looking at the cards I have received so far this year incl from Sainsbobs and JL they don't have years on.

Just seems peculiar to Ts. Do you think this will be noticed....

Saw a couple of pathetic UK men at their worst an hour ago, I had one of my sons with me so had to protect him from the horrible sight, we were a bit trapped in a doorway and they were fighting right in front of us. They were kind of grappling and hitting and trying to gouge and bite and there was a fair bit of blood, you'd have thought chipped teeth. They could easily have made the other one lose the sight in one eye or need stitches on the face or bite off a bit of nose or ear, they were trying to do that I think, both looked drunk. Anyway it all sort of stopped and we made a getaway. Loads of swearing etc.

Absolutely pathetic, in London one of them would probably have been knifed but they just fight dirty down here, no knives, well, not very often from what I read in the paper.

Happy Xmas with your bruised faces, boys.

Nah - not many people look at the back of a Christmas card to be fair .... so I'd still give them out. After all, it is the thought that counts :D
