Glad I'm not only one without shame. :rotfl:

Although looking at the cards I have received so far this year incl from Sainsbobs and JL they don't have years on.

Just seems peculiar to Ts. Do you think this will be noticed....

There's no shame. Just had a look at the back of one of ours and it has a fairly obvious 11 on the back.. Which would be about right, that's when we were picking up lots of packs for 5-10p lol

Means the kids can send as many as they like. And you don't feel robbed when you send them to the nosy neighbours who aren't really your friends but you're scared of not sending them a card lol (and they do take in the odd parcel!)

I never seem to be able to keep up with the thread & what I'm about to say might be really old news but in case others aren't aware:
I offered my dd some Xmas cards bought in sale a couple of years ago. She declined as the date was printed on the back. I had no idea some stores did this. Presumably it's to make people like her buy current cards at top prices. I must admit I've told dh the rest of my 2012/13 cards are going to the charity shop!

Sainsbury cards used to have dates on and once I realised, I felt quite awkward about sending those.

But since noticing this, I started to check the back by discreetly opening the pack in the shop, and the last couple of years have had no dates, so maybe I'm not the only one who checks! :)

Yep - my cards have the year on - but I don't care :D

  • Why would you worry about the date being on the back of the card? Surely everyone keeps the cards from year to year! They're not something you just throw out surely.

  • Oh, Snap, sorry to hear your bad news and it is so frustrating when you can't travel immediately. Thinking of you.

    xx
