    I just check HotUKDeals.

Currently they're showing Assassins Creed: Syndicate for £23 and Fallout 4 for £28 (I paid £40 pre-order, but worth it as I've put 42 hours in so far and I'm nowhere near to finishing it, and have revealed less than half of the map).

If I want something on release day (extremely rare), then I just look for the cheapest option, by search the net, either pre order or the day before it's available for shipping.

If it's a game that has been released a month or two ago because I don't mind not having the disc/box, then Ebay is good for getting genuine keys for games. I got Mad Max for under £10 for PC, within a month of it's release.

I mainly play PC games, so normally wait for sales on Steam, Uplay, Origin and sites like Greenman, Gamersgate etc.... nearly always one of them has some sort of sale or a specific game on special offer.
