Was down in Republic of Ireland at wknd, dont normally bother about internet etc when i'm down, but needed it for work purposes so when txt message came through advising of charges when abroad, I decided to opt in to O2 travel, £1.99 for every day you use data when in the south.

And so i used away, both Sat and Sun, however my bill has jsut come out today and I have been charged over £5.50 for data usage on Sat. This is in addition to the £1.99 x 2 I have also been charged.

Have tried 3 times to speak to them but keep getting cut off, or put on hold or as is the case right now, waiting for over 20 mins on someone to come onto Live Chat.

Anyone know if I have any come back here? I purposefully didnt use the internet until I have received the confirmation message from O2, so that I wouldn't incur any charges.

TIA

Was it (mobile data or data roaming) reliably switched off or you just didn't use it?

No Data Roaming switched off, and in fact the phone had died about 3 mins after I received the confirmation text, and wasnt used again until I arrived at the studio and got it charged up again.

Eventually got through to someone on chat - initially offered me £3 credit randomly, but finally they relented and have credited me back for the full £5.54
