if there's still an issue with your carpet overheating I would suggest leaving it on.Multi-tasking is a way of ensuring you don't enjoy any of them.0

I don't know of a home made remedy for this but you could try a removal product from This CompanyHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. According to Arctic Silver, the best thing to use would be their own branded cleaner (well, they would say that, wouldn't they?), but apparently a "low residual solvent" will remove most of the material, whilst any residue can be wiped off with a "lint-free cloth".
Specifically, they say:use a xylene based cleaner ... acetone, mineral spirits, or high-purity isopropyl alcohol
Since we're not talking sensitive computer equipment here, however, I don't think that your choices will be so limited as that. I've heard that nail-varnish remover works very well, but unfortunately I've no idea what effect it would have on a woolen carpet.
From personal experience, I find that this is adequate, at least where computers are concerned; it's a citrus-based solvent.0 -
Asaka produce a citrus oil based TIM cleaner. I wonder if some citrus based kitchen cleaner would work?Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
