Mother passed: family and funeral problems

Absolutely not. She has not legal liability whatsoever. Is it worth the OP getting a loan to pay the funeral directors and recouping the money later when the house gets sold? Or should he/she just make the funeral directors wait? The house could take years to sell! Are they likely to sue?0 -
Why would OP risk getting in to debt because of a contract the Aunt signed? If there is no money left in the estate then she/he would never recoup their losses, and why even bother going to the effort for an abusive mother and a stubborn Aunt?Is it worth the OP getting a loan to pay the funeral directors and recouping the money later when the house gets sold? Or should he/she just make the funeral directors wait? The house could take years to sell! Are they likely to sue?0
