A penny to a pound it is made for them - probably by someone like Beko, Electrolux, or perhaps Merloni, who are responsible for what has become of Hotpoint, Cannon etc. Calor is a gas company so they aren't making it themselves.

It depends what you are looking for in terms of quality, I suppose. I just want a really good, solid, reliable cooker and I'm willing to dig fairly deep to get it rather than keep on struggling with a badly made one like my Cannon.
