    @gillygmc

Normally we would say to start your own thread but I think
StaffsSW sums up what happens and probably best to ignore

Don't get intimidated about this, they would have to climb mega mountains that others dare not go. And even if they crossed the mountain, they will know that they will probably fall into a deep chasm and break their neck

Just laugh at debt collectors especially if it ends up with Rossendales and their paper chain of rubbish
  • Hi I received a letter, back in the summer, from epc plc stating that I didn't pay a toll on the M50 in Dublin. I've never been to Dublin. They've got photos of my reg no. though. I've written to them to say I wasn't there and can provide witnesses to say I was at a kids party. They've written back saying I must pay the charges. Has anyone else received a fine from them that you couldn't possibly have done and if so what was your course of action?

Have you got the same photos they have?
in most cases it wont be a cloned number plate, its more likely to be an ANPR miss read.
I've still got an unused dartford crossing toll left in my account, i paid for two crossings and the ANPR system only charged me once.

As for your situation, and as you can see from other posts you can expect a deluge of paperwork from this outfit.
However if your vehicle has never been to Dublin, i would be tempted to write to EPc and tell them that it is clearly a mistake and your vehicle has never been to Dublin, or even the Republic of Ireland, and as such they have no just cause under the data protection act to continue to process and hold your data.
You expect EPC to write and apologise to you for this error, and you do not like your time being wasted in dealing with EPCs mistakes.
As such you will consider charging EPC £19 per hour, or part thereof in dealing with any further correspondence they send, with the exception of an acknowledgement of this letter together with a full apology.

Debt collectors cannot issue fines, so nobody will ever have had this happen!

Please read Staffs post upthread and stop worrying.

I'm up to 5 lever arch files now... Rossendales are refusing to accept any more EPC "debts" with our name on them, but we are getting more letters from Contractum.

I may have a clear out in the New Year.

It seems that I am under fresh attack from EPC/Rossendales again.

These arrived today, each in individual envelopes...

They have been added to my growing file as shown in this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5077309

I'm not even wasting a phone call. If they want to waste more and more of their time and money shuffling a non-debt around their systems, then I'm happy to let them.

My offer to discuss it in front of a judge still stands. They have never wanted to take me up on that offer though.

    I can't think why...
