TalkTalk Mobile £137 bill for one day!!
Got an email from talk talk last night saying my mobile had went £7.85 over my allowance of data and my account would be suspended.
Since the cyber attack you cannot access the myaccount section so I cant log on and monitor my usage. So I had to ring TalkTalk this morning to find out what is wrong and they tell me that since the Monday morning until Tuesday evening I have used £137.92 of data!!
I have never went over my mobile usage in the whole year I am with them but in the space of day I can accumulate that kind of bill.
Has anyone any advice on what I can do? I have no idea how this is possible as I am still using my phone the same way as I always have.

What does the data usage say in your handset settings? You should be able to monitor it at your end.0

Hi @maggiecon
If you contact our mobile billing team here they will be able to take a look into this for you.
Thanks

This seems to be quite common with Talktalk and would be worthy of a Watchdog show.
Google 2.86 mb, you will see numerous threads relating to only talktalk. I never once went over my data allowance prior to joining Talktalk.
I only check emails, few web pages daily and I went over on a 3gb allowance. On checking the itemised billing I had 2.86mb chunks of data being used every minute through the night and day, even though I was at home sleeping with Wi-Fi connection!!! Talktalk don't want to know their only answer is to switch your data off. I now have to switch my data off all the time, not much use in having a smart phone.
This problem only seems to affect the Talktalk network, something clearly isn't right!!!0 -
This is Talktalk and their criminal activities..... We need watchdog, Martin Lewis or the consumer action group, investigation0

Have you got it set to update apps only when on wi-fi?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Insist on getting a paper bill FREE from them, we have just done this as our bill was more than usual, when the bill arrived we realised we had made a donation to a charity!0
