This clearly needs a lot of research. Regarding the FO

On this page, it states:
"when the consumer doesn't agree with the way the debt has been calculated"
the debt has been made larger by unexpected interest or charges
We will usually ask the debt collector to provide evidence to show the amount that is actually owed.
As Equita must be licenced by the FCA to operate, they are regulated0 -
no equita are not licenced with the FCA , the FCA is for regulated debts , in this case both companies are not dealing in regulated debts ***
** unless the bevis case "regulated them by accepting £85 was acceptable
and an email from the financial ombudsman says they cannot intervene

Interesting, so by this you are saying that NO government dept can deal with these cretins/scams. Don't think anyone in government departments will admit that the Supreme court in their ultimate wisdom actually screwed up and worse of all to the detriment of the general public. Where is David Cameron in our time of need ... off fighting in Libya I suspect
Keep on searching, there will be an answer0 -
OK , looking around every other consumer forum brings more and more of those cases ,
Equita ,in the form they are writing, is just in those cases being a private debt collector company ,someone a "crapita" has worked out that using an in house debt collection Co is cheaper than paying a "bounty" to the likes of DR+ or rossendales.
they have handed over , possibly all of the uncollected debts *** but without any relevant paperwork as to the location/date/charge and told them to "harass" people into paying.
***now it seems that most of those uncollected debts (alleged) are locations etc or NTK timings that they would have lost at POPLa or court.
why did they not take people to court 2 yrs ago?
most people have now lost any receipts , shops have closed and more importantly people have moved house.
treat equita as you would DR+ , DO NOT CONTACT THEM.
the obvious thing to do is to contact PE , and ask them to forward ALL relevant info , and then fight the !!!!!!!s! DO NOT pay the debt collectors extortionate charges , they have been set artificially high to intimidate people.
just my views , others might think differently ,Save a Rachael

You are right, at the moment the best thing to do is a quick note to Equita stating you have no knowlege of their claim, send it and get proof of posting. No need to say anymore. If they fail to reply and take you to court, doubtful, then tell the judge they failed to provide information requested.
In my view, Equita are plain stupid to expose themselves to this scam and sooner or later it could be the end for Parking Eye who have firmly placed themselves alongside the phone scammers.
Companies cannot hit/hurt so many people and get away with it
when its such a huge scam0 -

And you base this statement on what ?
because we are seeing quite a few Aldi cases and ones where people have received late or no NTK
try going thru all the forums , you will see those two things popping up over and over again
that is what I am basing that statement on,Save a Rachael
