Iphone 6s PLUS 64gb on sim only but need insurance !!!!

If i was to buy 2 iphone 6s plus phones with 64gb of data from the Apple Store for my children and let them carry on with their SIM ONLY Virgin deals, what would people advise as regards insurance for both phones as regards damage, loss or theft? ?

Buy an online plan (but remember its not going to be my phone)

Or put them on the house insurance ?

Have 1 year warranty for breakdown but i am mainly concerned with them losing phones or them getting stolen.

Thanks in advance....

I take it you do not have a "packaged" bank account? Many cover household's phones (including dependent children's).

I'd be concerned about children with data-hungry iPhones on uncapped contracts. Do you know out-of allowance price per Mb? Virgin Mobile seem to keep it secret (for a reason?).

And while virgin can give you good prices, it isn't 4G.

Insurance bear in mind Excess and terms and conditions can make it not such a good deal .
Can children take out an insurance policy or do T&C give an age limit .

Thanks guys.... i know Tesco can cap any contract even sim only but wanted to stay with Virgin to keep their loyalty discounts. Not sure which banks cover all phones.... thought it was just the account holders.

Just dont know where to start for loss or theft cover.... we have a friend that can repair iphones

We're with Lloyds and I've just had my son's S5 back today from having a broken screen replaced (dependent children up to 19 if in education, I believe). They've yet to take the £50 excess. I believe Nationwide's Flex Plus also covers the whole family. There's two to get you started.

    I used Gadget-Cover for my 6S just recently, it was £53.91 + £5.25 topcashback

Incl loss and £50 excess. Seems to cover unauthorised usage too. Not claimed ever but has good reviews.
