    Just to add..

when i first got sky+ we decorated the hall way, and sky was unplugged from the wall, it refused to work until it was plugged in....

Perhaps that was just in the first year

I got Sky+ installed just after they dropped the £10 a month charge for it and I think it's brilliant. I honestly didn't think I would get as much use out of it as I do. I can watch what I want when I want without the hassle of video tapes or recordable DVDs.

The pause live TV is excellent, as is the rewind live TV. I give it a big thumbs up :T

    oh yes.

Say you watch eastenders every night, you can set sky+ to record it every night.

If you flicking through the tv mag to see whats on later on the week, you can set it to record.

You can build up a bit of a library of films to watch in your own time as well.

We record a lot of stuff on a friday night , but never watch it until later on in the week.

Also if you record something on channel 4 thats an hour long, when you go to watch it back, you can fast foward the adverts and it will only take 45mins to watch.

We upgraded the hard drive (from a 40gb to 250gb) and its been brilliant (its now got 125hrs of recording time)

And don't forget the remote record feature, that is now one of the best features.

Pop on to sky.com select the program, and they send a message to your sky box to record the program.

    Cheers, Des.

    Yes on both counts ;)

They have to fit another cable from the dish to your box. They also have to fit a new quad lnb on the dish, but shouldn't be any mess.

If you get a decent fitter you could ask him if he could use shotgun cable through the existing hole so not making any mess. He may not do it, but it doesn't hurt to ask :)

    Cheers, Des.

if your upgrading from sky , the big difference is, instead of one cable coming from the satellite dish to the receiver ,you get 2 cables instead.
