Old Orange Livebox router, any alternative?

Have been with Orange now EE broadband for many years. Now the broadband wifi router plays up a least once a day, don't know if it may be related to fact that I am one of the few customers that only has the broadband service from them i.e no phone line or TV.
Can I buy another more up to date router to use, can anyone recommend one? . Thanks

Will EE not supply a new router ??
Other services have nothing to do with the router .

In what way does the router play up ??

I'm the same as you.

My router broke in the summer.

A week later EE sent me a replacement bright box however it isn't as good as the original siemans one.

1) WIFI not as strong for big houses
2) Web pages not fully loading.

I got a second hand one off ebay. Happy days returned.

Well my one is working but with streaming services ie Google Play and Blinkbox it takes ages to stream and drops out regularly. The router plays up once or twice a week now, but I wouldn't say it's broken, just want to know if I can use another router with the service.
