Once work up to find 5 people in my room and one in the wardrobe, at a hotel in Munich after a work conference.
Had to pay an extra 350 euro to check out as the room was in quite a state, I have vague memories of saying back to mine for a party circa 4am and work let me put the extra charge on expenses after I received a rollicking.0 -

A half empty bottle of baby's milk in a cot the hotel had left and a used baby nappy under the bed (and no, I didn't have a baby with me or any other child at the time).
There was a hotel that had framed pornographic pencil drawings on the wall...to to point of being more than a gynae professional would expect to see! Same hotel also had a gate (ceiling to floor) that they locked at night effectively sectioning the front and rear of the hotel which was a bit scary. This was in Switzerland btw!
In an apartment in Amsterdam the twin room had cartoonish, children's room style animals painted in a mural across all the walls. But on closer inspection they were all doing things that definitely wasn't suitable for a children's room!Frogletina wrote: »I found a !!!!!! magazine under a chest of drawers in a b&b in Portsmouth
In a hostel in Utrecht I was in the bottom bunk, and under the top bunk mattress, clearly visible through the mesh 'slats' was a !!!!!! mag.
Not quite the same, but in a hostel in Venice I was shown to a fold out bed, and I was quite jealous of the guy who got the double bed to himself. Until about 1am when a third guest was shown into the room, and told his bed was the empty side of the double. The new guy was quite laid back 'don't worry, I won't cuddle' he told the existing occupant, as he got out his sleeping bag. The first guy went ape, I think we were on the third floor and could clearly hear him yelling at the receptionist on the ground floor.
And in Munich a couple of idiot English blokes brought girls back to the 12 bed dorm. Even worse was listening to the 'analysis' the next morning. 'She wouldn't go all the way in a room with fourteen people in it' was particularly memorable, but I needed brain bleach for the rest of it.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

So the person literally "checked out" then!?
I'd definitely sack the cleaner as they clearly didn't clean the room properly either!0 -
