  • Yes! A few years back we stayed at the Copthorne in Glasgow, to find the drawer beside the bed stuffed full of condoms!

A bidet on wheels - tucked away under sink and connected by a flexible hose long enough that you could take it onto the balcony if you so wished

A copy of Pravda in the ensuite, mostly pretorn for convenience, but the crossword had been thoughtfully left unmolested.

A rabbit. No, not that type of rabbit, a real-life black and white bunny.

Holiday cottage, owner of both the cottage and the rabbit lived two doors down. Presumption is that rabbit (called Mr Hopsy!) must have followed owner in when he was doing final checks before I arrived and owner hadn't noticed and locked Mr Hopsy in).

Check-into a [quite nice] hotel in Bangkok.
Given the room key, went up in the lift.
Opened the door. A woman stood starkers!
Was given the key to the wrong room.:)

A half empty bottle of baby's milk in a cot the hotel had left and a used baby nappy under the bed (and no, I didn't have a baby with me or any other child at the time).

There was a hotel that had framed pornographic pencil drawings on the wall...to to point of being more than a gynae professional would expect to see! Same hotel also had a gate (ceiling to floor) that they locked at night effectively sectioning the front and rear of the hotel which was a bit scary. This was in Switzerland btw!

A gold chain and pendant under the pillow.

I arrived on an island that was fully booked over Christmas. I met a couple of girls and asked if I could sleep on their floor. One of them told me that she had just moved to this new room, so she was sure that her old room was still available. I asked and the man in charge said no rooms. The girl didn't accept this and argued with him on my behalf. So he reluctantly gave me the keys and told me one night only.
I thanked the girl and went to bed. Woke up the next morning and found the gold chain and pendant under the pillow. I knew where to find the owner. :) A happy coincidence.
Next day I went to reception and paid for a week in advance so I didn't have to leave and could spend Christmas and New Year with my new friends.
