The House of Commons Energy and Climate Change Select Committee will be taking evidence on home energy efficiency and demand reduction looking at a range of proposals for future energy efficiency schemes from 10am on Tuesday 8 December.

In this session the Committee assesses a range of proposals for future energy efficiency schemes. A variety of issues will be explored, including:

- Simon Roberts, Chief Executive, Centre for Sustainable Energy
Purpose of the session
In this session the Committee assesses a range of proposals for future energy efficiency schemes. A variety of issues will be explored, including:
- addressing the balance between obligations, grants and regulations
- future of pay-as-you-save and targeting the ‘able-to-pay’
- future of the supplier obligation
- tackling fuel poverty and targeting the ‘hard to reach’
- local authorities taking a greater role in delivering energy efficiency
- driving demand for energy efficiency
