If you click on *devices* on that page,it will show you just how you are connected,i.e.,ethernet cable or wireless.

Sorry espresso, I missed that bit with this wobbly connection!

I have my BT cordless phone and my ethernet cable for the Home Hub in the microfilter/Master Socket, nothing else.

I'm *not* connected wirelessly, it's only me that uses this PC and I had such problems with the adapter I stuck with the ethernet cable. If I'm connected wirelessly it'll be by some supernatural forces..

I'm a bit nervous about unscrewing my Main Socket, there's no extensions in my flat anyway..

    Is this useful?

Your stats look quite good although you are getting some FEC down errors.

I wonder if your BT cordless phone is causing a problem? Could you try a non cordless phone to see if it makes any difference to your disconnection problem?

If you have wireless switched on in your home hub, the cordless phone may be causing interference, so if you aren't actually using wireless, switch it off in the home hub.

I'll have to work out how to switch wireless *off* on the Home Hub, I didn't realise there was an option. Still using the ethernet cable though :)

My internet connection is still up and down, as ever. I'm going to try my old BT Voyager 100 modem later and see what happens..

My BT hub sometimes loses connection, I was told it could be that static has built up in the line?

Anyway, the answer I got - "to unplug all the cables, wait a minute and plug them all back in" seems to do the trick.

I have to reboot though as my system running Vista won't reconize it if I don't
