Wasps are long, thin with very distinctive yellow & black stripes on the body.

Okay, I hate to gross you all out but I have to
After 3 summers of misery but not being stung or anything like that Woody got stung a couple of days ago as I mentioned and would you believe as I sat on the toilet today minding my own business as you do I got stung!!!! The fcukers stung me!!! Obviously I ran straight downstairs and phone Bromley council. They gave me a number for a contractor and I have an appointment tomorrow morning. They charge one fee regardless of how many visits it takes to clear the infestation. I am so happy. I can't believe I put up with it for so long!
Eco-friendly, I really feel for you. That is exactly the story of my life! Does being eco-friendly mean you shall just let them be or are you going to get militant on their stripey !!! like I am doing
p.s I rubbed salt on the sting and it felt better really quickly.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
There nothing for it but to get it an expert in to deal with them. BUT,my top tip from a trip to the states is this; once you have got ride of the pesky wasps, stick a Waspinator up near where they come in it wont kill them but it drives them away instead as they think its an enemy nest. worked for me :-)0

Quite often wasps nests in the loft can not be too troublesome as they come and go from the eaves at a height from the house. If there are lots in your bathroom they could be coming down through a gap in the ceiling attracted by the light. We had this and there was a small hole around the light fitting. Dozens came in if the light was left on in there in the evening.0
