  • Camelot, sorry to hear about the flood in the cellar :( I hope you manage to get it pumped out and dried before Christmas x

Been dry here today despite the warning of rain. Managed to get some washing done and on the line.

DH passed his MIDAS school mini bus course with a gold award (No mistakes) So he is very happy, the next test is in 2020.

Got a phone call from the surgery cancelling my doctor's appointment tomorrow because she is off sick, they did offer another but not with any of the very few doctors that I like, it isn't that urgent, just a referral back to the spinal surgeon so it can wait until after Christmas now. Still got a blood test tomorrow though.

Chicken Arribiatta for dinner tonight, which I must go and check

    BFN xx
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Congrats to DH on passing his test BB, always seems strange when the doctor is off sick!

Thanks for the advice re the washing machine, I went to currys after work expecting to take one home but the one I chose wasn't in stock but ......they will deliver this Saturday for free (just need to pay them £15 to take the old one away which is ok as it would be a hassle to put it in the car and take it to the tip).

I'm not going to bother doing anything about the cellar, it has flooded before (not this much though) and will drain on its own. The access is from outside. If I had it pumped out I think it would just refill from the water pouring off the hills behind - there's me being thankful I was away from the river!
