WCA reassessments to start again

I don't think there can be many of us that haven't had huge stresses in their life. Death of a child, spouse, parents. In my own case PTSD and depression from a work situation.
Although I have recovered to the extent that I appear to live a normal life, the issues are always lurking, causing panic attacks, flashbacks and nightmares. So perhaps most of us understand and have 'walked a mile in others shoes'.
However in my own case the need to earn a living, pay the mortgage etc. in an age before the generous benefits of today meant that I either faced and overcame my fears or sank without trace.0 -
My ESA50 has arrived 2 months before the extended reassesment date I was told over the phone. Together with a letter saying it has to be sent back within 1 month.0

thats quite normal.
they aim to have the assessment done by the estimated date given ... not to start the process then0 -
There is nothing wrong with been assessed to get the right benefit to the right people. What i object to is there are no doctor's making the decision's. The people doing this have no knowledge of any medical cases and only been in the job for a few week's. Compare that to 7 yrs+ for a doctor.0

the WCA are carried out by healthcare professionals.
so a mixture of nurses, docrtors, physic's etc.
the decisions however, are made by decision makers with no medical training.
they are supposed to be guided by the healthcare professionals report.
the problem is that the assessment is a tick box exercise, where only certain items are addressed.
the HCP has no wriggle room to address other mitigating features.
it is the text itself at fault, rather than the people that carry it out0 -
They have changed the ESA50, so different boxes to tick. Maximus (who have taken over from ATOS for a much bigger wodge of taxpayers money) have not put their own name anywhere on the form or accompanying letter. They are instead calling themselves 'Health Assessment Advisory Service' and 'Centre for Health and Disability Assessments'
I don't like the look of this, because my feeling is that if somebody is going to do a good job they won't be afraid to put their own name on it.
Does it mean that even after all their scandals and fines in the USA, Maximus think their own brand name could be damaged further by what they are going to do here?0
