Hi,
My mums just bought a Samsung E250 from an 02 shop.
O2 have locked the speed dial setting with their own numbers on it.
Does anyone know how to overide this as it is completely useless because she can't add her own personal numbers to it.
thanks

can she not just do a factory re-set?...0

Yes a factory reset should clear everything, but make sure all numbers are backed up onto the simcard before doing it.0

Does this really work? I have the same problem & was told by Samsung that O2 buy the rights to install their own software & O2 have said tough luck basically. So all we need to do is restore factory setiings???? Will this affect anything else? Also is 'restore phone' settings the same as 'restore factory' settings or have o2 knobbled that as well???0

Yes it will be the same, back everything up off your phone first as you will lose contacts stored on the phones memory and pictures etc.0 -
Thanks! I'll give it a go & may come back in a panic!!!!!0

How do I do a factory reset. I tried the obvious reset option in the menu but its not resolved it.
Any ideas?

If it is O2 branded (firmware modified) a factory reset most probably won't work! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

The only thing you can do if O2 have branded it is to have the phone de-branded, what loaction are you in ?0
