the DOB issue could be the problem, exact same thing happened to me. You choose it from a drop down menu but if you have a mouse with a wheel and move it away and dont click off of the list but move the wheel the value changes. I then submitted the application with the wrong DOB, not noticing I had changed it and they refused to speak to me over the phone for two weeks before it was sorted out. Apparently it happens a lot, which begs the question why they dont have an empy field in to which you type you DOB as dd/mm/yyyy. Stupid thing was I did the same thing with NatWest 3 months earlier so I should have been wise to it. Got the cards in the end though. James

they may ask you for a deposit, don't panic. I was asked 2 yrs ago for a £200 deposit. Got notification last month that they no longer needed to hold it and this month it was paid and cleared my credit card. :D

Ok so I now no longer have a clear credit card:rolleyes: But hey I needed a new chainsaw!

Capital One dont do the deposit card anymore, so anyone that applies for a classic card will not be asked for a deposit, but i think the credit limits can start as low as £100, if the credit score is bad enough.

capital one are trying very hard to move away from the 'sub prime' credit card market, hence very little advertising now for their 'classic' credit builder type cards, and a bit push towards their premium cards such as the platinum. i believe the new 9.9% apr platinum one has some of the strictest requirements of any mainstream card.

just an update on this, i sent my driving license in 2 weeks ago, not heard anything in the post, so i called them up and they said they are received the ID and are sending it back

they said they will let em know on a decision in the next 5-10 working days

so much for a 1 minute decision, this whole process has taking nearly 4 weeks lol
