gold numbers and pac codes

hi i am looking to buy a payg sim card with a memorable number to put the number on my contract phone sim card. if that makes sense !!

what i need to know is if i get the pac code from the payg network (t mobile)
can i just phone my current network (3) and give them the code and they apply it to my current contract??

if yes,does anyone know how long this will take and if i will lose service in the mean time ?

hi there I had great numbers with 02 and just phoned them to get pac number,they will ask why and may ask you to stay, also because I had not topped up sim I had to read out the number on the back of sim.Pac code stays active for 30 days so phone 3 on 333 from your phone and its very easy ,takes 7 days to tranfer and you may lose service for about 2 hours but its great to get a number to remember
