Foxgloves - that's a good idea about saving stamps up. Do they ever expire out of interest?

They don't expire. A first class stamp bought today is still a first class stamp in three years time. They're valid in perpetuity. Dowd Towers has been doing this for years.

Could you try looking at the pattern on Ravelry? Sometimes people leave clarification in the comments section

Guessing that A.S.O stands for "and so on"?

Ravelry comments are usually great. Also I like them to see how the pattern turns out for others in the pics xxx

That's right. They no longer expire. Of course us ancient crones can remember when stamps included the price on them instead of just the design &/or Mrs Windsor's head. This was a faff as postage prices regularly rose a penny at a time which meant sticking on an old stamp & having to buy a penny one at the Post Office to top it up. Actually, I'm not particularly all THAT ancient. Was just being dramatic.

Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    Good Evening Everyone

LaE - Thanks for starting us off today!

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Well I'm home all alone this evening as DH at work :( and DS has gone to the Christmas meal at mum's place (he gets invited every year as he's been seeing them since he was 6 months old) so I've popped on a Christmas film and just relaxing but today I have:

Watched DVD with DH before he went to work
    Packed tea for DH
    1 x load washing
    Ironing
Wrapped a few more pressies at mums
Wrapped a few pressies at home
    Wrote a few cards
Look at pressie list and see whats still needed - still pondering - may need to be a bit more low key this year with DH's hours being mucked around :(
Bump all sale listings/freecycle/facebook - Done
    Checked Banks
    Continued purge on Emails
    Entered a few comps
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Checked https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win
    Checked Lucky Phone

    Love to you all!

    Hi,

Not really got time to post lists just now. Pretty much most days are work and sleep. So I'll just pop in now and again and offer opinions on folks' questions if I can. Hope that's ok and not being too big-headed. I seem to have a knack for sniffing out answers to stuff..I guess that's my wee thing, trying to help you folk out.

Did a kinda big non-MSE thing today. :o OH has wanted a new camera body for ages so I've saved and bought her it for Decemberfest. We're picking it up tomorrow. £549 reduced from £850 plus I'll get £15 back from Quidco. I'm going to give it to her tomorrow as we don't really do Christmas and December's a great month for photography. In a couple of months she'll sell her old camera body for maybe £300 and I'll get that money back. It's a lot of money but it's her passion. Shopped around before buying and got a 2 year warranty. And bought on credit card for loyalty points. Will repay next week when salary comes in at 0% interest. I don't really want anything much for Decemberfest so that's a saving. OH is buying me lots of wee bottles of alcohol. As I drink in moderation this'll last til Easter.:rotfl:

Also paid bills and added to Australia Fund.

    Decorating house tomorrow with pinecones.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Anyone help on COS - I uploaded one receipt to 2 different items, and the 2nd one got rejected saying receipt had already been used. Should I have bought them on different receipts?

You can send COS a question here. (Link)
