Hi!
Can anyone tell me how my partner would go about finding out if he owes Halifax money from years ago (whether it be a credit card or overdraft) before he tries to switch to get the 100 pounds cash and £5 a month please? He isnt sure if he does!

He would need to obtain copies of his credit report from Experian, Equifax and Call Credit (Noddle). The report costs £2 each and is free with Noddle.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. He needs to check his credit files, Noddle and ClearScore are free, but that will only show up the past 6 years. Also if he has gone "off grid" for a few years by moving around and not updating credit addresses checking those files could set bells ringing with the debt agencies if he does owe anyone.0
