Beware of 'cowboys' on Shipley

Options
Shiply, is a good concept but it's hit-and-miss, and if you get the shaft from some 'cowboy' transporter/shipping company - you're on your own.
They need to have to get more involved in disputes and take some stand against customers getting scammed. I paid just over £300 for a service based on Shipley reviews and the fact that the transporter 'lamillemiglia' (Roberto) STATED SPECIFICALLY IN HIS ADVERT THAT HE HAD £10,000 IN INSURANCE. Well my goods suffered £140 damaqe and the transporter now says the moped I paid to have transported IS NOT COVERED. This is extremely misleading and is made to give the customer a false sense of security! He has washed his hands of any responsibility and hasn’t responded to my email regarding the quote from the body-work garage to repair the damages. Contractors that provide misleading information and damage shipper's goods should be investigated and banned from the Shiply site pending investigation findings.
I pasted the email I sent to Shiply about my case (below), and they have said they don't get involved.

“He has already been in touch with me and is trying to turn it around and make it like it's MY fault, and cast doubt regarding the fact the moped was in decent shape when it went in the van DESPITE it had just been serviced and painted by a body-work mechanic. It's blatant disregard, and I even didn't complain when it took over 2 months to arrive as he said he had van issues (maybe an accident, as it was out of commission). My moped was kept in some storage facility for weeks therefore since my request for transport it took 3 months.
Another issue - the poor communication ie. What company doesn't relay instructions or what MY responsibilities are as a paying client? ie. What is up to me and what he provides. I actually asked if there was anything I needed to do or provide to make for easy transport. What sort of professional sends a message that makes no sense and is barely legible?

Giving my my goods back severely damaged then telling me it's MY fault after the fact is pointless and shows apaling regard for customers. The fact he says he claims has insurance in his ad means absolutely nothing for his clients and is very misleading.
In addition Shiply has a responsibility to NOT permit these 'cowboys' to continue to allow them clients and operate via their website."
