And its not £85k from January eitherRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

The FSCS applies in principle but whether your money is protected depends on how much money you have in total in the financial institution that Halifax is part of. This is:
AA (pre Oct 2015)
Aviva
Bank of Scotland
Birmingham Midshires
Halifax
Intelligent Finance
Saga
