No next day delivery on Amazon today???

I'm an Amazon Prime member. Every product page I look at today says "Get it by Thursday 3rd December".

What?

Normally it shows the next day (until late afternoon anyway).

What's going on with their next day delivery today?

I'm getting fed up of Amazon Prime delaying orders by a day. Seems trivial, but when you pay for next day, you expect it next day. The time of year may be partially responsible and the fact more people took to online shopping for Black Friday

Probably still working through a backlog from Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

I would expect it will return to normal within a couple of days.

There is only so much that the UK delivery Network can support unfortunately.

I agree. This is the first time I've seen it happen. £79 a year is a reasonable amount so I expect the service they advertise. :mad:

Recently they've started using Amazon Logistics to deliver in my area and they are the worst courier company by a country mile. I'm increasingly sourcing products on other shops, when I can.

I ordered a couple of DVDs on Prime yesterday and was confused today when they didn't arrive. It was only on checking my account that it says they will be delivered tomorrow.

Quite annoying really when you're paying for a service that isn't being delivered.

Has anyone complained to Amazon yet?

Was looking for a new SSD for the desktop at home. Available on Prime for delivery on Thursday if I order in the next 28 hours!

Surely that should mean it's available for delivery tomorrow if I order in the next 4 hours.

Definitely something not right. As people have already said they are probably still dealing with a backlog from the weekend. Although all the stuff I ordered on Friday arrived on Saturday apart from one item that was delivered Sunday.

I haven't in the past had any issues with Amazon prime next day delivery, you could possibly see reasons for problems Black Fri, Cyb Mon etc..............but they instigate these events and should be able to overcome delivery issues, without comprimising the service of all year round paying customers

They have issues at the moment - think they are saturated.

I have one item thats been out for delivery for three days now...

I ordered some items yesterday day (non Prime) with delivery due next week Monday to Wednesday, just received an e-mail they are out for delivery today! Slightly surprised.

Yep - that's what I'm seeing too. That used to happen on Saturdays, before they started offering Sunday delivery.

It's almost as if they've pressed a button to turn off the option to get delivery tomorrow. I'd have expected a "Sorry guys, but..." message on their site, but can't see anything.

I tweeted them about it a couple of hours ago and no reply.

Someone who phoned was told that Amazon have computer problems today so they can't guarantee delivery for tomorrow. Still think there should be an explanatory message on the site.

EDIT EDIT: Looks like Amazon have deleted the thread about this on their own forum, above! :eek:

Very odd that another supplier I use (in no way related to Amazon) who normally offer next day delivery if ordered before 5:00pm is currently stating Thursday delivery. And I know that they have not participated in any unusual promotions recently.
