I thought this was one of the best and most interesting articles I've read in ages. Seems you thought the same! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I'm reading another book on ISIS, this time it has more detail on their digital operations.
They describe the process by which people are able to transfer money anonymously to ISIS. It goes something like this... you buy an anonymous preloaded cash card. You use that cash card to buy an anonymous burner phone. You then make contact with another burner phone. You top up your card and then transfer money to the account of the other burner phone, who can then withdraw as cash, anonymously.
The book explains it better than me, it is this one:

If we want to defeat them we need to understand them.
Very "Sun Tzu":
"...understanding the economy of warfare and how success requires winning decisive engagements quickly. Successful military campaigns should limit the cost of competition and conflict."In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

I think Sun Tzu was very forward thinking. I enjoyed reading the Art of War (as well as Machiavelli for that matter:o).
(This bit's not aimed at you Jon)...The issue with ISIS is that they have declared war on infidels and stated that they want to spread the caliphate. We may never be able to defeat them as individuals, but it does help to understand them. And the more people understand how they operate, the more they will be able to report things if they detect anything out of the usual.
Not suggesting we all go Stasi here and spy on our neighbours, but at least knowing what you are dealing with and most importantly *it isn't all, or even a majority of muslims* is a good start.
I'm sure if I was around at the time of the rise of Nazism I would have wanted to know more about that too. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? When you tax citizens of your made up state; regardless of how much/what means; then after a while those citizens are going to have expectations.
I think the "solution" to the whole problem involves the supporters of ISIS to see what it really means to be a citizen of their state.
I doubt it will be any promised land. Disenchantment will set in.0 -

Something like this is exactly what has happened/is happening.
State spend (particularly in the US) on surveillance and monitoring technology has grown markedly since 9/11.
I can see no reason why this won't continue.
Practically every mobile phone has some element of American technology in it. These are the very same phones that IS proponents rely on.
Why wouldn't a future US government use their position in the comms world?0 -
Why don't we shoot down the Isis space station?:pThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
