I recently had a returns case, which is a very long story on another thread, turned out to run for about 3 weeks. At the end buyer closed the dispute, but as the last message they didn't say that they were happy with everything, they said that drop off was too far away. Although I recieved a good feedback from them.
Anyway, I still got a defect, even though they had cancelled it, which I'm considering to appeal. at the end of the day, it is worth a shot

I have a neutral on my private account which ebay refuse point blank to remove even though they say they can see my buyer was wrong. The neutral States that they were unhappy that the widget was blue and not green as per the photo, yet the item was stated as blue, item specifics States blue and ebay agreed that photo showed a blue widget.

Soolin, do you think it depends on who you get on the phone? I got positive feedback with negative ish wording and low stars rating removed for an item that was advertised as the size X, the picture shown size X and the item was still brand new with tags, so tags said size X too. The buyer said they happy with the item, but they thought that it was bigger than X and given me low star rating for description. eBay agreed straight away that if all of the above mentioned said size X, then i'm right to advertise it as an X and removed the defect without any problems.

I have tried three times now- each time the CS person in Dublin agreed it should be removed but had to put me through to a different department for confirmation- on each occasion that other department said no. However they did remove 2 defect stars for me instead - which was odd. I was worried though as on my private account I am a very low volume seller, so 2 defects plus a defect for the neutral was around 2% and I thought that was getting a bit risky especially as I am assessed on a yearly basis.

I too have spent hours before on phone to ebay to get strike removed for it being late despite tracking saying it was despatched next day. They put me through to different people , finally agreed to remove it and never did! I gave up.
I'm thinking of asking for a confirmation email from person that I speak to to confirm that they said that.
