No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries December 2015

Finally managed to place a lush order, fingers crossed they don't cancel people's orders. Managed to get a snow fairy in there. Praying now that it actually arrives
I was too frightened to go to the store earlier today because of my disability (can't risk being pushed into or stood on currently, and I don't really cope well in crowds, people are actually more dangerous for me than the pony I look after... I think animals have a sixth sense as she seems to get that she has to be careful around me, she's also going to be assessed for riding for disabled) and apparently it was manic, people literally go crazy in the sales, by the time it was safe enough for us to go to the sales there was nothing really left. I did get a few bits in boots as I think a lot of people hadn't noticed that the sales stuff was upstairs. As far as the fear of dealing with crazy sales shoppers goes, I imagine a lot of folk will have felt the same. If lush reduced their prices they would probably sell several times as much stuff and more than make up for it. I also think it's odd that they know certain products are popular and guaranteed to sell, yet they don't make enough of them?! They need a lesson in supply and demand!

I have a box now full of products for PP for the next month or so (I assume this will go in a new thread so I won't list here). Tomorrow I'm going to go through my handbags and make sure I have products in there to use up.

Some uu's to report
Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Cream 30ml - this is pretty much identical to Cleanse & Polish but vastly more expensive. WNB due to the price (I say this a lot about Elemis).
Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliater 50ml - this is next to useless, way too much gel and not enough scrub, WNBA.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

IN
Estee Lauder perfect Formula lipstick Barely Nude

I am totally avoiding the sales both RL and interwebby one, except for a new pedometer. No weight to loose but lost so much muscle strength through illness I am going to try building up in small increments to avoid as much joint pain as possible. Just have to brave the rain.
Hugs to all that are affected by the flooding or have loved ones that are, thank goodness that on the whole human beings are pretty resilient, but I don't know how I would cope. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas
I'm really proud to say that I have no beauty IN's this Christmas apart from a Dior makeup sponge that was gifted to me x
It's hard seeing all the discounted items, but I keep saying that I'm ok for makeup and I really believe that I am. I'm not panic buying anymore so happy for that.
On top of that, I've spent the last few days at home from having a cold/flu so I've been taking lots of baths and really pampering myself (including painting my nails every other day), so I have some OUTs to declare.
UU's:
Last of my collagen eye masks

The store I went into on Boxing Day was indeed manic - everyone running in, elbows at the ready and throwing everything they could get their hands on into their baskets. Luckily I got two of the gift sets that I wanted but I think I was one of the few which were showing manners in the store. I wish they either sorted out their website (couldn't get on yesterday), or reduce the prices of their stuff occasionally - I would buy loads more if they did!
Welcome lucia22 and any other newbies I've missed!

Lush Porridge Soap: Love the smell and it makes my hands incredibly soft, but it disintegrates very easily and quickly. WMBA.0 -

I bought a few things online, but have had it with sales shopping in store. I went to the Boots 75% sale a couple of years ago and there were a couple of women who were putting the wheeled baskets under the shelves and literally just pushing everything off the shelf into their basket. They were then passing that basket onto a friend and would then take a new basket to another shelf. I saw one woman do this with the whole stock of Soap and Glory stuff. Anyone who got near got elbowed out of the way. I cannot face competing with such greedy people.0 -
Lets just hope all their S&G hand cream was off and stinky when they opened it:cool:

The people ripping stuff off the shelves like that Aren't buying it for themselves they are probably stocking their carboots or eBay stalls.
I've not bothered with the sales at all, I got more than I needed as gifts. Dh had agreed not to buy me any perfume but them bought me two new fragrances.SPC~12 ot 124
