Hi
my mum and dad have applied for a mortgage and one of the applications have been refused due to an adverse marking on their credit expert report. We have looked at all the other credit report agencies and their report is pretty perfect, so they need the credit expert report to be able to see what is on there. We did this on Wednesday which said it could take 2 working days to verify their identity and on Friday phoned and was told that they had to send copies of passports as well as proof of address. He sent that and they received it this morning. Today they are telling him that it can take 12 working days for them to verify their details. Is there any way of getting this expedited because 12 working days seems like a ludicrous amount of time, and could affect them purchasing the house. They are both very high earners and as said above there is no adverse markings on any other report

Credit expert is the marketing name Experian use to get people to waste £15 per month on a pointless score.
Your mum and dad will need to both apply separately in their names, there is no such thing as a joint report.
Pay the £2 fee and get the paper copy:
http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/statutory-report.html
If they've already sent off their passport info etc. then nothing you can do except wait.
