How do I get rid of it?
Have recently reinstalled PC and I can usually hide the flipping thing, by right-clicking and selecting Hide, Apply. This time though it refuses to be kept hidden, keeps popping back again!
I don't want to go into the registry, does anyone else know how I can lose Links for good?
Thank you

To stops the Links folder being recreated, open IE, click on Favourites, on the drop down menu, right-click on the Links folder, choose Properties, check the Hidden box, Apply, OK, delete the Links folder from the favourites menu. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

richyrichuk - it's back!
espresso - your suggestion has worked before when I've reinstalled PC but this time the folder insists on re-appearing.
Thanks very much for suggestions, anyone any more ideas please? It's driving me mad. :mad:0 -
Are you saying that you cannot hide it? Try this:
- Start Windows Explorer.
- Move to your user profile area (e.g., C:\documents and settings\john).
- Open the Favorites folder.
- Right-click the Links folder, then select Properties from the context menu.
- Select the Hidden check box, then click OK.
- Start IE and delete the Links folder from the Favorites menu.

Depends on your machine but something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Favorites
e.g. the locations of your Favorites folder. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
