New quote from Complete Green Solutions based in Nuneaton, seem to have god feedback locally.

    FIT & Export £540
    Bill savings £313
    Cost £6200

The iBoost recommended because I have an emersion heater. Are the potential benefits of this system worth £1000? I'm assuming the bill savings will be exaggerated but will the bigger system and accessories be worthwhile.

    Thanks.

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but surely the plural of 'roof' is 'roofs'? A quick 'google' seems to confirm roofs is correct
It has indeed been discussed before here when it was reported that OED shows either to be 'correct' although current usage is perhaps veering towards roofs (no doubt pushed that way by our chums across the pond who want the whole world to adopt their simplified version of our language).

But until we start talking about horses having hoofs, loafs of bread and trees bearing leafs I for one shall be sticking with rooves.

As before the £313 savings are still far too high.

As you have a Hot water tank with an immersion heater you presumably have gas or oil Central Heating?? Bearing in mind that both oil and gas are available for around 3p/kWh. That means with the boiler efficiency taken into account a ballpark figure for either fuel is about 4p/kWh.

So if you managed to divert, say, 1,000kWh pa to your immersion heater your savings would be around £40 a year. Not enough to justify spending a £1,000 IMO
