I am getting Virgin installed tomorrow, though am tempted to cancel given how inept they have been over my contract. I was originally getting services installed on 18/12/15 but changed it to tomorrow. I also paid a year's line rental up front. Virgin keep sending me out the wrong contract, I keep ringing and asking them to send a correct one. I am worried that they will take the wrong amount on my direct debit. My first payment should be £38.98 then 8 of £19.99. Any one else had any hassle. I am refusing to sign a contract until it is correct. Will try ringing again and explaining but am not holding my breath.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

Normally your contract states the full amount but any discount is then applied to your account.
They should readily email or send details of the discount you are getting off the contract price, that's how mine is done.0 -

Mine doesn't - it clearly states both.
I have details of the Promotional Offer, my Monthly Service charge during Promotional Offer and my Monthly Service Charge after promotional offer.
It also has the £50 credit that I got under the Other Items and Charges section.
My LRS was taken out after the contract was sent so that doesn't appear on it but everything else is clearly listed.
First bill is always likely to be for more than the normal monthly amount as part of it will include the previous month from connection plus the advance payment for the next month. All depends on the billing date in relation to the connection date.0 -

Yes, we had the same problem. We got a great deal through the post, but they 'forgot' to add the discount to the first contract they sent, they they got the wrong discount amount, then they removed the discount all together. They even tried telling us the offer we had didn't exist and that we'd made it up, luckily we kept the letter from them as proof. They were a nightmare, they took the wrong amount from our account 3 months in a row. We had to escalate and threaten court action for them to get it right We're leaving as soon as our contract is up.
Refusing to sign won't make a difference btw, we never signed, they still raided our bank account for wrong amounts. Thank goodness for the Direct Debit guarantee!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
There is no requirement to receive or sign a written contract: a contract is formed regardless. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
