No I did not know I could get a reduction for being on my own but I will call them on Tuesday to ask for it. :D

Yes, do, and if you have lived alone for sometime ask if they can backdate it - that could be a lifesaver!!!

we have talk talk and get broadband and all landline calls for about £20 per month - you can do free texts on your pc if you look at martin's latest email about free messages so if you are on payg then you might be able to cut down there

    Hi Ciara,:hello:

How many months is your council tax over if it is ten this can be changed to twelve.

start a spending diary taking note of everything you buy even if its just a bar of chocolate.

I like the sound of talk talk and will look in to it!

I am unfortunately stuck in an 18 month phone contract though from before I became single and broke. My sister already showed me how to get the free messages on my computer as she uses them a lot to contact her husband who works away.

might be worth phoning them and trying to get out of it thoough??

watch out for the talk talk thing though i.e read it carefully - we are on the talk talk 3 international package as this gave us free broadband and free calls but we pay £20 per month - if that makes sense

Just a thought Ciara, but SS has helped quite a few peeps on here get a bit of free dosh, average of £100.

If you haven't done it yet, send him a pm and he'll tell you all about it ;)
